The VMV D2R MK2 is a universal MQA decoder. Not only does its USB port support master-quality audio playback, but its Optical, Coaxial, and AES/EBU inputs also support full MQA decoding and MQA-CD playback. This ensures absolute signal unfolding and authentic master-tape-level performance from any optical or coaxial source.

High-End Connectivity & Asynchronous XMOS XU-316

Equipped with a true 32-bit XMOS XU-316 USB solution, the D2R MK2 supports PCM up to 768kHz, native DSD512, and DoP. Its rear input panel includes gold-plated connection terminals for USB-C, Optical, Coaxial, I2S (HDMI), AES/EBU, and Bluetooth, with balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs that can be toggled between fixed or variable pre-amplifier output modes.

Integrating a new-generation Qualcomm Bluetooth 5.4 chip, the D2R MK2 supports high-resolution wireless codecs including LDAC (24-bit/96kHz), aptX HD, AAC, and SBC. The newly designed 1.9-inch fully laminated tempered glass screen not only renders a modern, multi-language UI, but it also dynamically displays song titles, artist metadata, and active lyrics during Bluetooth playback.

To feed the sensitive analog output stages, the D2R MK2 relies on a robust linear power supply equipped with S.M.S.L's patented Adaptive Voltage Switching technology, alongside multiple low-noise regulated power lines. This isolates the analog signals from mains noise and digital cross-talk, keeping the SNR at an outstanding 123dB.
