Dual ROHM MUS-IC BD34302EKV Flagship Architecture

Unlike standard designs, the D3R utilizes a dual-mono configuration featuring two flagship ROHM BD34302EKV DAC chips—one dedicated to each channel. This design achieves absolute channel separation, massive dynamic range, and an organic, fluid, and analog-like tonality. Operating with a measured THD+N as low as 0.00013% (-117dB), it recovers the finest acoustic details and deepest instrumental layers from your high-resolution files.

Master-Class ±3ppb OCXO & CK-04 Jitter Elimination

To provide reference-level timing precision, the D3R is equipped with an ultra-precise internal ±3ppb 10MHz OCXO (Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator), raising the bar for jitter suppression. Managed by S.M.S.L's self-developed CK-04 clock processing system, digital phase noise is virtually eliminated. For high-end synchronized systems, it also supports external standard 10MHz reference or atomic clock inputs with selectable 50Ω or 75Ω matching impedance.

True Balanced Analog Pre-Amplifier Stage

The D3R features a built-in, fully balanced analog volume control circuit, enabling true reference pre-amplifier functionality. By keeping the volume adjustments entirely in the analog domain, it maintains maximum signal resolution and dynamic range at any volume level. It serves as the perfect control hub to feed directly into active studio monitors or high-end power amplifiers via its balanced XLR (delivering a massive 5.2Vrms) or unbalanced RCA outputs.

Premium 3.49-Inch IPS Screen & Advanced Connectivity

Housed in a robust, CNC-milled solid aluminum alloy chassis, the D3R features a massive 3.49-inch fully laminated tempered glass screen that displays S.M.S.L's brand-new, multi-language UI. Under the hood is the top-tier 32-bit XMOS XU-316 USB processor, supporting PCM up to 768kHz, native DSD512, and DoP. The rear panel includes gold-plated connections for dual USB inputs (USB-B & USB-C), Optical, Coaxial, I2S (HDMI), and AES/EBU, as well as an advanced Qualcomm Bluetooth 5.4 receiver supporting LDAC (24-bit/96kHz), aptX HD, and real-time metadata display.
